Yoga Sadhana Retreat

The Practitioner’s Journey to Yoga

Cultivate wellbeing, balance, and peace in our Sadhana Program – a yoga retreat on the paradise island of Koh Phangan. Spend one to three weeks immersed in yoga, deepen your personal practice, and reconnect to yourself.

“Yoga is a spiritual practice and the goal of this practice is Yoga most commonly translated as Union. To overcome that which is causing the separation one needs to have a continuous practice which requires discipline. For this very reason One Yoga has created the Sadhana program, a program for sincere practitioners in search of a place to support this process. When one practices continuously with right understanding, right effort and the necessary discipline one is known as a Sadhaka. When the Sadhaka keeps the process going continuously it creates momentum, the energy from this momentum has a snowball effect pathing the way to the goal of Yoga.” – Daniel Mark Taylor, Co-founder One Yoga

The Purpose of Daily Spiritual Practice

Sadhana, the daily spiritual practice, is the pillar of yoga. Sadhana is anything that is practiced with awareness, discipline, and the intention of spiritual growth.

Our Sadhana Program provides you with a wide variety of tools for this purpose, ranging from physical practices like asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) to more introspective methods, such as meditation, as well as the supported theory in the daily philosophy classes.

What is Sadhana and why should you have one?

Simply put, Sadhana (Sanskrit: साधन) is a Sanskrit term used to refer to a regular spiritual practice. Sadhana is about being a better person, living a happy, meaningful, wholesome life through the cultivation of awareness. A consistent Sadhana practice is generally supported such as asana, pranayama, and meditation. When you routinely apply mind, body and spirit combined with the intention of spiritual growth, the result is a simple, natural way to surrender the ego, to release attachment and to cultivate a sense of peace in your everyday life.

In essence, Sadhana is the cornerstone of the discipline of yoga. Having a sincere and consistent practice of sadhana will nurture in all aspects of your life. When formulating your own Sadhana, it is important to choose practices that work for you, a frequency and duration that you can easily integrate back into your everyday life. Sadhana means you are using everything as a tool for your wellbeing. This is what One Yoga’s Sadhana program is all about

The Space to Go Deep

Discipline is one the most important aspects of Sadhana. Without regular practice, we cannot reach our spiritual goals. But finding the right space to go deep into yoga can be difficult due to the hectic modern lifestyle.

Here at One Yoga – with the Buddhist roots of Thailand, the healing energy of Koh Phangan, and the serene atmosphere of our private beachfront resort – we provide the best conditions for you to stay committed with ease. Away from distractions and supported by a loving community, you will truly experience the profound benefits of a regular and intensive yoga practice.

What makes this program special?

The Sadhana Program is more than a retreat. Not only do you get to take time for yourself, you also dive deep into yoga. Well-rounded classes, the study of philosophy, and the transformational practice of Yoga Nidra offer amazing new perspectives on yoga, life, and yourself.

This program is open for all – beginners and seasoned yogis alike – who want to deepen their personal practice. Experience a sincere, dedicated approach to yoga that will benefit you far beyond this retreat and building the discipline to keep the daily practice going when you leave.
