Extended Practicum

At One Yoga, we believe in providing our students with the necessary tools and opportunities to become confident and competent yoga teachers. That’s why we offer our newly graduated students the unique opportunity to continue their practical training by teaching free yoga classes to the local community.

This hands-on experience allows you to put into practice what you have learned in the training and to gain valuable teaching experience in a supportive and familiar environment. Furthermore, the extended practicum provides you with the opportunity to give back to the community and to share your passion for yoga with others.

This is entirely optional, and you are free to choose whether you wish to participate or not.

What Makes This Training Special?

While other courses can introduce you to a variety of styles, this Yoga Teacher Training focuses on traditional Hatha Yoga, providing a level of depth that surpasses most other training programs.

While its exact origins are a mystery, written records prove that Hatha Yoga is at least 1000 years old and includes a wide variety of practices, making it a holistic system of yoga. In contrast, modern styles that focus mainly on the postures, such as Vinyasa, have only been around for 100 years.

Therefore, learning traditional Hatha will not only empower you to teach physical classes, but also give you a deep understanding of yoga’s spiritual and philosophical dimensions, enabling you to guide your students towards a more meaningful and fulfilling practice.

Another reason to focus on Hatha Yoga is that the slower pace of the practice will give you more time to learn the correct alignment of each posture. This knowledge is crucial for all yoga teachers! You can apply the same principles to more dynamic styles like Vinyasa Yoga.

Lastly, Hatha Yoga is very beneficial for the mind, helping to release stress, cultivate mindfulness, and increase your capacity to respond to challenges with more calmness and clarity. This practice is paramount in our busy modern world!

The course fee includes healthy vegetarian breakfast and lunch buffets on all teaching days. Start your day with a nutritious breakfast, such as tropical fruit with coconut yogurt and granola or hearty scrambled tofu.
